Palace Hotel

丸の内地区の再開発が急ピッチで進んでいます。
このホテルも2009年1月31日をもって営業を終了しました。

確かに客室も広いとは言えませんでしたが、
雰囲気もありましたし、メンテナンスも上々。
高層のホテルばかりが増える東京の中で希少価値がありました。
晩年は総支配人が変わって（確かプリンスホテルに居た人のはず）
料理人が一斉にやめたりするトラブルがあったと聞きましたが、
どうだったんでしょうか。
その昔は送客提携をWestinとしていたのも懐かしい想い出です。

With the aim to add further sophistication,
the Palace Hotel has decided to temporarily cease operations as of Saturday,
January 31, 2009 for reconstruction and renovation. In 2012,
it will be re-opened as an entirely new,
fully contemporary luxury hotel that will match to the needs of the times
while standing firmly on the foundation of our rich experience and
time-honored tradition of hospitality.
The new Palace Hotel will, we believe,
never fail to live up to your expectations.
