The Andrew Jackson Hotel

This hotel opened in August of 1925
on the east side of Memorial Plaza
on the corner of Sixth Avenue and Deaderick Street.
The massive brick structure boasted 400 guest rooms.
During the years it was in operation,
The Andrew Jackson was known for excellent food,
comfortable accommodations, and outstanding customer service.

To make way for the James K. Polk Office Building,
Which contains the Tennessee Performing Arts Center
and the Tennessee State Museum.

これまた1940年代の歴史的価値のあるもの。
保存状態も上々！
それこそ普通に使える状態です。
でも、使えません.....

1971年に取り壊されているので、
記憶に残っている人も少ないように思えるのですが、
いまだに連綿とWebで記憶を綴っている人も多くいました。
いかにこのホテルが愛されていたかを表しているようで
とても嬉しくなりました。
